See.

In your eyes, I see the pain of living.

Living in a lonely world filled with beautiful creations.
Mourning the picture of your youth.
Hope to rejuvenate runs through your veins.
The frustrating tick tock sound from the clock increases your pain.

I see,
I see the bitterness of being subjected to carrying the burden of a home on your weary shoulder.
Losing yourself to a human like you, in the name of matrimony.

I see you,

Screaming out mercy with no voice heard.
Yearning for all who sat next to you to see through those eyes of your restless soul.

I see them indict you of being a failure to womanhood.
Training a brave girl child is the abomination you committed.
Hope to be found, hope to be free is your solicitation.

I see, the serenity you long for is in the eyes of others.
The exultance you seek is in the eyes of another.

Who will take away this acrimony?
Who will rescue you from this antagonism growing in-between?
Who will tell your mother you are a weak vessel?

I see the shame you hide in your eyes,
You wish you never signed those papers.
You wish you never said 'I do'.
You wish you never let him in.

I see it all.
I see in your eyes a dying mother who longs to be free.
